Nature looks dead in winter because her life is gathered into her heart.
She withers the plant down to the root that she may grow it up again fairer and stronger.
She calls her family together within her inmost home to prepare 'em for being scattered abroad upon the face of the Earth.
The simplicity of winter has a deep moral.
The return of Nature, after such a career of splendor and prodigality, to habits so simple and austere, is not lost either upon the head or the heart. 
It is the philosopher coming back from the banquet and the wine to a cup of water and a crust of bread .....

Sometimes.........

Some lessons are best learned through pain.
Sometimes, our visions clear only after our eyes are washed with tears.
Sometimes, we have to be broken so we can be whole again.
Remember : If God made the day to be perfect, He wouldn't have invented tomorrow.....

Take trains by yourself to places you have never been.
Sleep out alone under the stars.
Learn how to drive a stick shift.
Go so far away that you stop being afraid of not coming back. 
Say no when you don't want to do something.
Say yes if your instincts are strong, even if everyone around you disagrees.
Decide whether you want to be liked or admired.
Decide if fitting in is more important than finding out what you're doing here.

Essence of Nature

For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life.

This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness.

So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one.
