You are like the wind

you are always there

and to deny you

would prove as a foolish

as denying the sun 

its shine.

Sometimes 

the sound of you

or how you make me feel

just feels right

and levels me 

against the troubles I hold close.

Other times

you take the heat away

and make me feel cold.

Sometimes

you blow away

my sense of comfort

and leave me feeling vulnerable.

You are like the wind 

never to be denied

when the wind is too harsh

I choose to stay inside.

Teach me to trust..

I want you to teach me

Put the pencil in my hand

and show me how to write.

Show me how to color the past

instead of erasing it.

The cloud entered

along with it rain

a time full of trouble

filled with sorrow and pain.

Heartache and tears

filling my days

stealing my joy

in so many ways.

The days became long

as if with no ends

it was an awful aloneness

as if without friends.

But true friends did exist

helping me make each tomorrow

till that cloud did move on

and ease this deep sorrow.

Well the new day brought hope

as the sun warmed my soul

my heart was finally healed

and once again I felt whole. 

Love stoned

She hypnotized me with her beauty

blinded me with her love

bounded me with her smile

caught me with her personality

trusted me with her words

wheeled me in with her spirit

and fished me out with her heart.

She's attached to me

like wheels attached to a car

I'm attached to her

like a heart in a body.

She danced her way into my heart

snuck her way into my mind

laughed her way into my soul

She's in the air I breathe

I lose myself when I'm not with her.

She has got me love stoned
